A swing on Sri Lanka’s Ahangama coastline, a drunken conversation in Bangkok, rattan furniture inspired by Koh Samui, cane lamps from Bali and food that connects the coastlines from India to the Far East; Swwing is like joining the dots of a giant epicurean puzzle. The latest venture by food entrepreneur Akshay Luthriya and Chef Tarun Sibal (of Titlie and Barfly Goa fame), the duo have teamed up after their award-winning Street Storyss to give a taste of something that Bengaluru has not seen. After braving the pandemic and innumerable challenges, it would be apt to call them the Sultans of Swwing.

Drawing from the enchanting coastal cultures of the Indian Ocean, the gourmet table and wine bar with a refreshing tropical vibe is inspired by the duo’s travels across South East Asia. Located near the 12th Main-100 Feet Road intersection in Indiranagar, the glass façade instantly draws you in. Think of it as a spice route journey disseminated by ocean currents with nuances of coastal cuisine from Mangalore to local touches from South India and influences from Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore and Korea. Despite the Oriental influences and Asian ingredients, Tarun and Akshay are clear that it’s not an Asian or Coastal seafood restaurant
